Airstream Caravel
For 2020 Airstream has introduced an all-new model named the “Caravel”. If you are familiar with Airstream history you may recognize this name as this was a model in the 1950s and 1960s. The all-new Caravel is quite different from the original, but still maintains the timeless design that Airstream is known for.
Floorplans
The 2020 Airstream Caravel is available in 4 floorplans, a 16RB, 19CB, 20FB, and 22FB. With this variety of floorplan options, you’ll be sure you have everything you need, arranged in a smart and efficient layout.
Interior
The interior of the Caravel has and modern upscale design with many new luxurious features from Airstream.
When you first step inside you will notice all-new interior decors for 2020. The Caravel is available in ‘Pewter’ or ‘Tungsten’ Fusion Ultraleather Fabrics combined with a darker ‘Autumn Night’ wood.
Airstream has also introduced all-new touch dimmer light switches, JL Stereo with Bluetooth, and a ducted air system.
Galley
Keeping the modern look, the galley features a stainless steel sink and Moen faucet. Cooking duties are handled by an all-new 3 Burner gas cooktop (2 Burner on 16′ & 19′) and optional microwave upgrade.
Bedroom
Relax and unwind after a long day in the master bed. You’ll be sure to sleep soundly thanks to the pillow-top memory foam mattress. The 16RB and 20FB floorplans both have a bed that measures 48″ x 78″. The 19CB floorplan features a corner bed measuring 48″ x 76″ and the 22FB has the largest bed measuring in at 54″ x 80″. Other bedroom features include USB ports, 110V power outlets, and LED reading lights. The dinette also converts to provide additional sleeping accommodations.
Bathroom
Each floorplan includes a fully equipped bathroom with a shower and toilet. All floorplans except the 16RB feature a Moen Bathroom Faucet and lavy sink.
Exterior
The Caravel is proof that big adventures can come in small packages. The Compact, lightweight design is easily towable with a mid-size SUV and is perfect for weekends spent exploring.
One of the first things you notice on the exterior is the 15″ stylized aluminum wheels, stainless steel front stone guards, and Thule aluminum entry step. The Caravel also features a power tongue jack, making hitching and unhitching easier and more accessible.
A manual Zip Dee patio awning with heavy-duty Sunbrella Fabric comes standard, as well as an optional rear and roadside awning package. Check out the video below to see more details of the 2020 Caravel.
